Collection Information :

You can collect your passport/documents at the Embassy after you've received a mail of confirmation stating: "Your Aplication is ready for collection.

Collection is on weekdays from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm and your passport/documents will have to be checked by yourself upon collection.

You will need to bring a proof of identification (Consular ID or Driver’s License).

In case of 3rd party collection, we require:

  • A copy of the applicant's ID (Consular ID Card or driver's license)
  • A completed Affidavit signed by the applicant, stating the reason of not being present
  • A copy of the collector's Consular ID card

The Embassy does not offer delivery through shipping partner PostNet/Dhl etc... this feature will be incorporated as soon as we deem necessary as we are well aware that certain citizens of the Republic of Congo are far away fromn the Embassy's location.

Visa :

Once you have received your visa. Here is some information you need to know:

  • Valid for :
    • Although the Republic of Congo is part of the Community of Central African States (CEMAC) Territories where all citizens of the one of member state can travel through without the need of a visa “CEMAC COUNTRIES” however, if a visa (national visa) is granted to you, it does not mean that you have access to all CEMAC countries, you will need to apply for a visa to visit those other countries CEMAC Countries: (Congo Brazzaville, Gabon, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Tchad);
  • From :

    Date on which you are authorized to enter the country

  • To :

    Date on which you must leave the country. Consequently, these two dates indicate the period during which your visa is valid.

  • Type of visa :
    • Either “A”: Airport transit visa (this visa does not allow you to leave the “international” zone or the “customs” zone of the airport)
    • Either “C”: A short-stay visa (a stay of less than 90 days)
    • Either “D”: Long-stay visa (a stay in Italy of more than three months)
  • Number of entries:

    Length of stay : The number of days you may remain in the country. If the Embassy issued a visa valid for one year or more, the number specified is “90 days". This means you are authorized to stay a maximum of 90 days per six-month period.

    • Either “MULT,” which means you may enter the country an unlimited number of times
    • Either “1,” which means you may enter the country only once
    • Either “2,” which means you may enter the Republic of Congo twice

    The surname and the given name of the visa holder

    • All birth cetificates issued by the Embassy of the Republic of Congo are sent to a database accessble by the Interior Ministry for national registry purposes, a unique number is attached to it, whenever you travel back home, please mak sure you have it with you so you can apply for a passport or other administrative documents once you are home.
  • Consular ID card

    This ID card is essential for all Congolese citizens..
